It's Traditional...

Each year, as a season approaches, us humans like to repeat tasks and events to mark the calendar - yesterday's Pancake Day was a good example. Went to Morrisons and found loads of shoppers with flour, milk, lemons and sugar...and FB was full of questions of what is your favourite type of pancake....me, personally, I like maple syryp and bacon...but I had that on Sunday, so no pancakes in our household yesterday...
As for the Girls on Tour, as the day approaches (48 hours and counting...) I am massively looking forward to the day, and, of course, the "traditions" of the tour. As you all know, we have "THE RULES" - which this year have been quite interesting in so much as a lack of a Queen last year, means that we are all allowed to chose something for the "Queen Decrees" (QD)and the "Handbag Trial". Unfortunately, our lack of organisation now means I have a pathetic 48 hours to find a red feather boa!! Mama Mia! I went to amazon - fab, got one for £3.99 - but delivery is 5 days (too late) and next day posting was £8!! grrr. So off to Stars for me today with fingers crossed.  Ah ah....
The QD are good ones - in particular I am loving the "insert a line from an Abba song without anyone noticing" - glee! As kids, a lack of telly meant the Abba albums were constantly on the record player, and I am imbibed with the words (how can I remember these things when I forget more important things on a daily basis?  I will be in a nursing home singing the things for sure...). However, there is a proviso that if someone notices, you then have to sing them out loud (!! do they know I sing like a pet shop on fire???). So, on Friday night, when the lights are low, looking out for the place to go, I am going to take it easy (take it easy) and slow down girl ....tis gonna be a good one! Thank goodness for tradition for acting like a teenager once a year!!
